We kicked off with an engaging AFAN Spotlight session at the EFM, where the conversation went far beyond raw numbers. By examining the data behind the various film markets across Asia, we gained a clearer picture of the region's current theatrical and digital landscape.

The session focused on the data-driven realities of the diverse film markets across Asia. Moving beyond high-level statistics, the session explored the practicalities of theatrical and digital trends in the region through an engaging dialogue with Ellen Y. D. Kim (ACFM, Busan), Kaori Ikeda (TIFFCOM, Tokyo), and Yulia Evina Bhara (JAFF Market, Yogyakarta). Asia is currently one of the most dynamic spaces for cinema globally, and there is immense value to be found at the intersections of our diverse regional markets.
